St. Eleanor's New Parish Center
In 2011, St. Eleanor Parish will celebrate its first 100 years as a community of faith. To prepare for continued success in the next 100 years the parish will be undertaking a capital campaign to raise funds for the addition of a new Parish Center. The new Parish Center will accommodate anticipated growth in our community and improve our facilities so our parishioners can live and practice their faith more comfortably Click here for more information on St. Eleanor's new parish center. Dear New Parishioners,
Welcome to the Parish of St. Eleanor. You may be curious as to who Saint Eleanor is and why her name is unknown to you. You may already be familiar with St. Helena, the foundress of the True Cross on which Christ was crucified. St. Eleanor is simply another form of Helena; they are one and the same person. By the way, you will see a statue of St. Helena when you get to the narthex of the church.
There are so many ways to get involved with our parish. We have over fifty organizations with which your spiritual and social needs should be met. Whether you want to work on a project like building homes for the poor or meet other young mothers, there is something for everyone.
The parish has six masses on the weekend, including a Sunday evening service. We have music at every mass and a welcoming congregation of young families to greet you.
Our school of Religious education is one of the largest in the diocese. We are in the process of adding on to the present structure. Please look at the quality of our Catholic school, with extensive additional technology, virtue-oriented education, our many CYO activities and programs for young and old.
I hope that you will want to join our parish and to be part of our dynamic Catholic community. Fr. Cooke and I look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely yours,
Rev. Msgr. Patrick E. Sweeney
Pastor

St. Eleanor Parish is providing Electronic Giving, or E-giving, as a simple, secure and convenient method for making contributions. The eGiving option is being used by churches throughout the country and works similar to online bill paying.
E-giving is when parishioners authorize their designated church contribution to be extracted from their bank account or credit card and deposited directly into St. Eleanor’s account. There is no fee for parishioners who choose this method and St. Eleanor receives contributions even when the members are on vacation or away. Regular monthly reports are sent to the parish for accurate donor records and all banks and all credit cards are accepted.
You can sign up for E-giving by clicking here. You will be directed to a secure web site where you will be asked to create an account and fill out a form. Once the completed form is submitted you will receive a welcome email. You may then login to your account any time you wish and make changes as you see fit. You are in control of your eGiving account!
