St. Eleanor’s Parish is providing Electronic Giving, or eGiving, as a simple, secure and convenient method for making contributions. The eGiving option is being used by churches throughout the country and works similar to online bill paying.
eGiving is when parishioners authorize their designated church contribution to be extracted from their bank account or credit card and deposited directly into St. Eleanor’s account. There is no fee for parishioners who choose this method and St. Eleanor’s receives contributions even when the members are on vacation or away. Regular monthly reports are sent to the parish for accurate donor records and all banks and all credit cards are accepted.
You can sign up for eGiving by clicking here. You will be directed to a secure web site where you will be asked to create an account and fill out a form. Once the completed form is submitted you will receive a welcome email. You may then login to your account any time you wish and make changes as you see fit. You are in control of your eGiving account!

What is Scrip? Did you know it raises money for our Parish?
St. Eleanor works with the E-Scrip program. Through this program retailers allow St. Eleanor to purchase their store gift certificates at a discount, (anywhere from 5 to 18%). When parishioners buy the gift cards from the church at face value, (cash or check only) the church earns revenue. St. Eleanor has the potential to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars with this fundraiser. The best part is this is money we are spending anyway. It is free money.
In return for the money raised the church offers anyone who has children in a Catholic Religious Education program up to 2.5% back from their purchases towards their tuition, (there are a few companies that offer less than a 2.5% discount; each month you also receive a chance to win $100.00 in gift cards of your choice with every $100.00 purchased). This includes pre-k, elementary, PREP, high school, or college; it does not have to be only at St. Eleanor. If you do not have someone to give your credit to, all of the money made from your purchases will go back to the Parish.
Our Parish stocks many retail, grocery stores, and restaurant gift cards. Click Here for the in house list, which you can print out and bring to mass with your check. You may order gift cards for many other participating companies, including hotels, restaurants, gas, toys, clothing, etc…, Click Here for companies who participate. If you order and prepay before Sunday, at the rectory, or at mass on Sunday, your purchase will be at the rectory by Friday. You can also pick it up the following Sunday at the Scrip table, in the Narthex.
Café Fortuna in the Trappe Shopping Center is now accepting the Stores & More certificates.
Purchased cards cannot be exchanged by the volunteer sellers. They must be turned into a committee member for follow up.

In 2011, St. Eleanor Parish will celebrate its first 100 years as a community of faith. To prepare for continued success in the next 100 years the parish will be undertaking a capital campaign to raise funds for the addition of a new Parish Center. The new Parish Center will accommodate anticipated growth in our community and improve our facilities so our parishioners can live and practice their faith more comfortably.
The plans for the new Parish Center reflect St. Eleanor's commitment to its mission and parishioners for the next century. The success of this major capital effort will rely on substantial support from our parishioners.
For more information on the St. Eleanor Centennial Capital Campaign or the new Parish Center, contact Jean Phillips, at the Capital Campaign Office: (610) 489-1647 ext. 15 or CapitalCampaign@steleanor.com..
