Dear Friends, Our Lenten journey to Easter has begun. Having received the ashes, a sign of our need to repent, we cling to the Cross of Jesus Christ by which we are redeemed, forgiven, healed and set free. While the length of this holy season may seem daunting, I suggest that we break it down into more manageable segments. Perhaps we take a different focus for each of the weeks of Lent, engaging in different aspects of fasting, abstinence, almsgiving. Dear Friends, Here we are. The Eagles are Super Bowl champions and what a game. Amidst all of the cheering and hoopla at the presentation of the Lombardi Trophy, it was inspiring to hear Doug Pederson, Zach Ertz and Nick Foles publicly give praise and thanks to God for the opportunities, the work, and the gifts they are experiencing.
