Respect Life Month

Dear Friends, Where did September go? It certainly is a blur. This last Sunday of the month, September 29, is also the feast of the Archangels ~ Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. And October 2 celebrates our Guardian Angels. These heavenly messengers and protectors are an indication of God’s unfailing care for and providence over us. We praise the Father for such compassionate attention to our needs! Next Sunday is Respect Life Sunday and October is Respect Life month. The theme this year “Christ Our Hope: In Every Season of Life” reminds us of the Lord’s unfailing love for each and every one of us at every moment and in every life condition from conception to natural death. So grateful...

Dear Friends, Our Forty Hours devotions are completed and what a beautiful celebration they were. Many families were in attendance. Thanks to Elizabeth Calabro and our choir, cantors and organist. Thanks to our altar servers, youth group members and the representatives from our various ministries and programs. Thanks to Deacon Hasson, Deacon Hinson and our Knights o

This weekend we are celebrating the twenty-fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time, but September 15 is ordinarily the feast of our Lady of Sorrows and last Sunday (September 8) was the birthday of our Lady. These two feasts remind us of M

40 Hours

Today we begin our annual Forty Hours Devotions at the 12 Noon Mass as we celebrate our parish feast day (a little early): the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Adoration and Masses until Tuesday evening will take place in our main Church. As you know, Father Christopher Cooke is our homilist each evening. We look forward to his inspiring, encouraging and challenging words. Sunday evening will be our regular Mass. Monday and Tuesday evenings will be Evening Prayer, Homily and Benediction. Tuesday evening will include our outdoor procession and outdoor Benediction with the assistance of the Verdi Band. All evening services are at 7 pm. This is such a special time for our parish family to
