Dear Friends, We are coming into that time of year, nearing election day. It has been brought to my attention that someone was placing political fliers endorsing a candidate or candidates on the cars in our parking lot last weekend. I did not see who might have done so, but please understand no permission is ever given to place such fliers on cars on church property. The parish grounds are private property and should be respected as such by everyone. I am not sure what the status of placing such fliers on cars parked along the street might be. But on parish property permission is not given to do this and no permission was sought. Unfortunately, this happens almost every election cycle.

Dear Friends, Today is World Mission Sunday. It is an annual opportunity to reflect on the missionary works of the Church around the globe and to offer personal support to these efforts through our donation. Holy Cross Regional received word that Scarlett Barker in Grade 2 is being recognized at the Cathedral Basilica as one of the Archdiocesan winners of the 2018-2019 Missionary Childhood Association Christmas Artwork Contest. May the work of sharing the Gospel and the gift of redemption in Christ Jesus continue to renew the lives of all. Back in early September I mentioned that we are looking to ref

First, “an affirmation of goodness,” that is, we recognize that we receive good things, gifts and benefits, in the world. Second, “we recognize that the sources of this goodness are outside of ourselves…” Impressive insights from the world of science touching upon the effects of natural law (creati

Dear Friends, We had a visit from several enthusiastic and energetic Villanova students on Saturday, September 21. The purpose of their visit was to volunteer their services to help with the Fall cleanup of our flower beds around Church. Mrs. Rachel Holdsworth, our most dedicated leader of our Gardening Angels, along with some other parish volunteers coordinated this event to a beautiful success. We are very grateful to Rachel, to all our Gardening Angels and to these Villanova students for their thoughtful attention to the gardening needs around Church. It is a very large job. Thank you very much! October is the month dedicated to the Rosary and to Respect Life. What a blessing that t
