Your Generosity is a Blessing

Dear Friends, This weekend opens a very busy week on multiple fronts. Sunday initiates Catholic Schools Week across the country. We are very proud of our Holy Cross Regional Catholic School, its administration, faculty and staff! We are very fortunate to have so many talented, faithful and dedicated professionals helping our young disciples to become all that God has created them to be. At the weekend Masses, a representative from the school, a student, will address our parish family. The school hosts an Open House for everyone on Sunday from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Never Alone

Dear Friends, Last Saturday, we hosted Monsignor Kutys on a canonical visit. Church Law requires the (Arch)Bishop to visit the parishes on a regular basis. However, when the diocese is very large then others are delegated to make the visits. It is an opportunity to see how things are going, what is happening locally in the parish community and the opportunity for the local community to ask questions of someone from the Archdiocese. Monsignor Kutys explained all this to both Councils (Pastoral and Finance) and at the Vigil Mass. He met with parishioners after the Mass. It was an enjoyable visit. A New Year is Underway!

Dear Friends, This weekend finds us welcoming Monsignor Daniel Kutys, Moderator of the Curia for our Archdiocese. He visits us on Saturday, January 11 on behalf of our Archbishop. These visits are routine visits that help keep the Archbishop up to date on the parishes of our Archdiocese. He is here only for the one day. We are grateful for his interest and time with us. As part of our ongoing efforts to envision our future and to meet the challenges of parish life at this moment in history, we are joining with Catholic Leadership Institute (CLI) to participate in their initiative called The Next Generation Catholic Parish.
