Faith, Prayer, and Reflection at St. Eleanor Parish

Join the parish community for 40 Hours Eucharistic Devotion, three days of prayer, adoration, reflection, and spiritual renewal centered on the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Parishioners of all ages are invited to participate in this sacred time of worship through Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, homilies, Benediction, family activities, and a concluding Eucharistic Procession.

Father David O'Brien

Father David O'Brien is a parish priest serving at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer in North Wales, PA. He is a native of the local Church of Philadelphia, growing up in Chester County, PA. His entire life.

Father O'Brien entered seminary formation immediately after high school, and after nine years of formation, focusing on Philosophy and Theology, he was ordained to the priesthood of Jesus Christ in 2019. He has spent four years of priesthood in high school ministry and is one of seven children.

Father O'Brien enjoys spending time with his parents and siblings, keeping in touch with friends from high school and brother priests, as well as playing golf in his free time.

Opening Day of 40 Hours

Mass
The 40 Hours Devotion begins with the celebration of Mass.

Following Mass, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for prayer and adoration.

Family Holy Half Hour
Families are invited to gather for a special period of prayer and reflection before the Blessed Sacrament.

Time: 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Chalk His Way
Children and families are encouraged to participate in this creative faith activity by decorating the parish walkways with messages and artwork.

Evening Prayer, Homily, and Benediction
Father David O'Brien will offer the homily followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

The church will remain open throughout the day for silent prayer and Eucharistic Adoration.
